Goal: Identify USA-based supplier(s) with the necessary technical, production, and business capabilities. The process typically involves a client submitting requirements and the scouting service then conducting searches, validating capabilities, and facilitating connections to potential domestic suppliers. These services use specialized databases and networks to identify suppliers with the necessary technical, production, and business capabilities.
The service does not evaluate potential suppliers for financial viability or other risks beyond publicly available data. Potential “fit” applies to the ability and interest of the suppliers to meet the product and process requirements provided by client as the contractor can best determine. While contractor guarantees the identification of a viable supplier(s), it is not responsible for negotiations or final agreements. That is client’s responsibility.
A typical project is targeted at a 30-day duration from project kick-off (subject to mutually agreeable changes). The Contractor will provide a cost following an initial discovery meeting based on item(s). Payments made at project closure.
1) A Metro Atlanta executive advisory firm that developed a patented biometric identification badge at Atlanta Tech Park needed to find a domestic manufacturer capable of cold pressing or overmolding to ensure water resistance. The company submitted a Supplier Scouting request. We identified multiple potential suppliers throughout the nation and the company began service discussions with manufacturers in Illinois and West Virginia, bringing them closer to achieving their goal of reshoring production.
2) Client testimonial - "Doug Allvine picked up where our efforts left off, connecting our excellent design and engineering teams to US-based contract manufacturers across the country. Our initial forays had struck out and, to our surprise, the companies Doug introduced to us had been previously unknown - no amount of searching had yielded their names. Their expertise and network were priceless. Furthermore, Doug (in particular) hit the ground not running, but sprinting - acting like a fully invested and fully aligned in-house Procurement expert to locate, introduce, connect, and help qualify these manufacturers in line with our Company goals. In our first year of business where all we've done is spend, our time with Doug ranks atop the best spend in establishing our brand and products."
+) Supplier Scouting covers a "wide" range of items. Recent "matches" include items like: custom plastic components, wind turbine generation towers, machined parts, solar panel manufacturer, printed circuit boards, 100+ more.
